The Passionate Pedal Award is presented to an individual or company who exemplifies a commitment to LACBC’s core value of ensuring that those that work and live in LA county have the freedom and safety to move around the county by bike or on foot. Recipients of this award encourage and promote alternative modes of transportation through personal and / or business initiatives that provide a model for other sectors. This year's recipient for the Passionate Pedal Award goes to the Walt Disney Company.
Disney, through its corporate citizenship division, offers employee incentives for biking, walking and public transportation with the goal of providing transportation options that are not only beneficial to all of its employees but also environmentally friendly.
Previous recipients of the Passionate Pedal Award include Good Samaritan Hospital CEO Andy Leeka and LA Mayor Richard Riordan.
