LACBC is excited to announce that we will be conducting Bicycle + Pedestrian Count in the City of Inglewood! We have been providing outreach for the City of Inglewood's Active Transportation Master Plan to include pedestrians, cyclists, and safe routes to school. This plan will lay the foundation to create safer streets for walking and bicycling. Bike to The Forum anyone?
The count will be conducted on Wednesdays and Saturdays in multiple locations throughout the city. If you want to learn more about volunteering and receiving updates for the Inglewood Bicycle + Pedestrian Count, please register below!
- Saturday, September 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 20th from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, September 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Find count locations near you on the map and sign up for your shifts here!
As an incentive, we are offering five $100 cash gift cards to be raffled off for our participants. There are a total of 60 shifts to be filled and each completed shift gets you an entry.
To ensure accuracy, we will be holding classroom trainings on how to collect data properly. The count locations and count trainings will soon be determined and expect to email that information by next week. Sign up for one of our trainings below:
Also, if you have any questions please email our Policy & Outreach Coordinator, Bryan Moller (firstname.lastname@example.org), who has been working with the City of Inglewood planning department on the outreach.
