For the day of Make it Mar Vista on November 28th, we will swap out the parking and bike lane along three blocks of Venice Blvd. (between Grand View and Wasatch) as a test to see how this re-design might work on a more permanent basis.
Sign up if you'd like to participate in making the first LACBC pop up bike lane on Venice Blvd, second of the Mayor's 15 Great Streets that will get a make over to improve safety for all road users. Spray chalk paints, duct tape the lanes, and move planters to make this dream parking protected bike lanes come true for one day!
We are looking for volunteers to help:
Sat, November 21st
- Installation Prep work from 10 to 1PM - 6 people
Sat, November 28st
- The day of installation from 7AM to 9:30AM - up to 20 people (The more, the merrier!)
- LACBC Tabling at Make it Mar Vista from 10AM to 4PM - 3 people per 3 hour shift ( 10AM-1PM and 1-4PM)
- Breakdown of the pop up installation from 4PM to 5:30PM - up to 5 people
