WHAT IS LA BIKE FEST?
LA Bike Fest is BikeLA’s 2nd annual fundraiser and celebration of bike-minded people from daily commuters to weekend warriors and everyone in between.
As a Pedal-Powered Party, we encourage our attendees to ride to and from LA Bike Fest via the healthiest, happiest, most sustainable, and equitable transportation available – THE BICYCLE. Of course, we will provide a free bike valet, and the event is a hop, skip, and a roll away from the Chinatown Station for those who plan to ride first and last miles via Metro.
The event is open to all ages, but you must be 21+ to be served beer. Speaking of beer, the first one is on us! Highland Park Brewery will have a bar in our designated area where additional beer can be purchased. For food, our friends at Highland Park Brewery will have a special menu (including a vegan option) also available for purchase. We’ll have music, a 360° photo booth, and our biggest online auction ever stacked with unique experiences, premium subscriptions, fabulous bike accessories, and much more donated by bike-friendly Angelenos and businesses. You could even win one of several brand-new e-bikes! Mark your calendars for when our online auction goes live the week of September 25th!
Check out LA Bike Fest 2022, where we successfully raised vital funds to CREATE a more Bikeable Los Angeles for everyone.
Because of the generosity of the Highland Park Brewery, we’re able to lower LA Bike Fest’s ticket price to $25 which will include admission, one beer or a non-alcoholic beverage, bike valet, and a commemorative BikeLA bandana. Feeling extra generous? Donate more than the price of admission to BikeLA when purchasing your ticket!
Ticket proceeds help raise crucial funds to support our advocacy and programming to make LA more bikeable for everyone.
Spend an afternoon with bike-minded Angelenos rallying around our common love of bicycling and our shared desire to transform Los Angeles into a better place to live and bicycle.
Again, tickets include: One beer or non-alcoholic drink, 360° photo booth, bike valet along with minor bike repairs, a commemorative BikeLA bandana, and a fully supported group bike ride to the venue!
LA Bike Fest 2023 is SOLD OUT, tickets will not be available at the door.
HOW WILL I GET TO LA BIKE FEST 2023?
This year we’re offering a fully supported group bike ride to LA Bike Fest! The group will roll-out from the Santa Monica/Vermont Metro Station in East Hollywood at 9:15 am sharp and join a non-drop feeder ride along the Sunset4All corridor to LA Bike Fest, where we’ll be honoring the Sunset4All project for their dedication to one day soon transforming Sunset Boulevard into a safer place to shop, dine and travel. This is a fully supported non-drop group ride of ~5.7 miles. Sign up to join the free group ride when purchasing tickets.
Coming from a different direction or on a different schedule? We highly encourage you to ride to and from LA Bike Fest via the healthiest, happiest, most sustainable, and equitable transportation available – THE BICYCLE.
Sometimes people need to drive their car. Street parking is available, but please be mindful of street signs.
WHO WILL BE THERE?
Guests will join BikeLA supporters, Local Chapter members, elected officials, community leaders, corporate partners, bike-friendly businesses, and transportation advocates to meet at the outdoor venue.
Along with our 2023 Spoke Award Honorees:
Assemblymember Laura Friedman is a leading advocate for making California a more bikeable region for everyone.
A community-led vision to create 3.2 miles of pedestrian improvements, protected bike lanes, safer access to schools, transit upgrades, and more.
A Los Angeles native who has worked on urban development and planning issues for 23 years, emphasizing the dynamics impacting working-class communities.
Our honorees are passionate, dedicated, and collaborative in making Los Angeles a more bikeable region for everyone.
CAN I VOLUNTEER?
BikeLA is seeking volunteers to help us ensure the event runs smoothly. Potential volunteer opportunities include bike valets, bike mechanics, check-in, and more!
We are currently working on putting together the official Volunteer sign-up list. Check back on September 14th and we'll have all the details ready to go and how to sign up.
WILL THERE BE AN AUCTION THIS YEAR?
YES! And even more exciting, the auction will be online this year. Therefore if you can't make it to the event, you can still bid on some awesome auction items. The auction launches at 7 pm on September 29th. Check it out HERE!
