Thanks to a scholarship provided by the Better Bike Share Partnership BikeLA Executive Director participated in the 2023 NABSA Conference in Hamilton & Toronto, Canada to learn about the latest on how shared micromobility is building a more equitable and sustainable transportation ecosystem for everyone.
The conference reaffirmed Eli's belief that LA needs to expand and improve the Metro Bike Share program to include more electric bikes, new and improved bicycle docks, and an extensive bike library of adaptive e-bikes, e-cargo, and longtail bikes that serve the diverse needs of all Angelenos. LA needs to build on the progress Metro Bike Share has made to lower the barrier of entry to our bike share system by investing much more heavily in reduced fare membership.
