Today is Election Day! In addition to voting for the next U.S. President and statewide positions, there are several local initiatives that you can vote on to help shape the future of Los Angeles.
As a reminder, here is how you can #BikeTheVote:
Find your polling place at lavote.net/locator. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Know your voting rights. Your employer is required by law to give you time off to vote. You can vote if your name isn’t on the list using a provisional ballot. You can vote after polls close, as long as you’re in line. You can change your vote if you make a mistake — just ask for a new ballot. You can take your vote-by-mail ballot to any polling location (and you can trade it for a new one if you make a mistake on it).

Below, the LACBC staff shares how they will be getting to the polls today.
Tamika Butler, Executive Director
My polling place is a two-minute walk from my house. But before going in, I’m going to do my normal morning ride around my neighborhood and encourage people to vote.
Lac Vuong, Bike Valet Coordinator
I’ll go by train, bike, and walking after work.
Bryan Moller, Planning & Policy Director
I plan on taking the bus into work, skateboarding down to the nearest downtown polling place, and turning in my mail-in ballot.
Zachary Rynew, Communications & Volunteer Coordinator
My polling place is only two blocks away, but I still plan on biking there to vote before making the 16-mile trip from the Valley to the LACBC offices.

I’ll be walking to my polling place four blocks down.
Colin Bogart, Education Director
I live about a mile from my polling site. I’m riding my bike and stopping to vote on my way to the Gold Line Station.

I plan on going on my morning run and dropping off my mail-in ballot at my local fire station. Maybe I will even get a victory donut from the nearby donut shop, too.
