Bike Month is here! If you’re registered for June’s LA Rivers Challenge and need extra motivation to start training this month, participate in our Photography Scavenger Hunt in partnership with Las Fotos! Get some miles in while qualifying for a chance to win some raffle prizes. From now until May 31st, earn a chance to win by sending us a photo of you biking, walking or running at a Las Fotos photography site.
Get out there and bike, walk or run to one of these locations, snap a pic of yourself there, and tag @lacbc and @lasfotosproject on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtags #LasFotosProject and #LARiversChallenge.
At the end of the month, we’ll randomly select winners and reach out!
Along the LA River, Las Fotos’ Flow: A Community’s Relationship to Water exhibit investigates the connections that exist between the global water crisis and Los Angeles using a combination of photography, storytelling, and field research. You can see the exhibit online along with a map of the places the Las Fotos teen photographers visited and photographed during their 6-week study on water issues.
2. Throughout central Los Angeles (Mid-Wilshire, Koreatown, Downtown, Boyle Heights and Lincoln Heights), Las Fotos has partnered with Outfront Media/JCDecaux and Streets LA to implement a series of public photography exhibits in bus shelters. As part of their Age of Change activations, this exhibit aims to uplift youth voices and break down barriers. Check out the map of all the locations here.
