Alameda Street esplanade
Last year, Metro broke ground on the nearly $30-million Eastside Access Improvement Project, which among other streetscape improvements surrounding 1st/Central Station, will add a tree-lined esplanade for pedestrians and cyclists along Alameda Street. Later this year, a similar range of improvements are slated to begin construction on the segment of Alameda Street which flanks the main entrance to Union Station. Take a look at the renderings of updates to come.

Pasadena parking garage transforms into condos
The project, which is being built by Octane Development, is transforming a concrete parking structure at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Cordova Street into 48 residential units. That total includes 16 townhouse-style dwellings seated above the garage and 32 homes built along the perimeter of the now five-story building.
So awesome to hear about the river restoration project. We need to protect the earth that we are inhabiting by any means, and this is a step in the right direction.
