We are happy to report that the LA Neighborhood Council Coalition (LANCC) has completely re-written its anti-road diet motion to one that encourages the engagement of Neighborhood Councils around potential and implemented roadway changes. This is a motion that LACBC and its partner LA Walks agree with – local residents should be at the center of shaping the streets in their communities. You can read more about the new motion, here.
Thank you to all of you who wrote letters, made calls, and showed up at the meeting last weekend. We are now working to proactively engage Neighborhood Councils around making streets safer in their locales.
